ISA Eastern New York Section Academic Scholarship

The ISA Eastern New York Section, Inc. Academic Scholarship Program is for students who are pursuing or intending to pursue a college degree related to the field of automation. Qualified applicants must have a current Student or Professional ISA membership and meet one of the following educational criteria:

  • Graduating high school senior who is applying or accepted to an accredited two- or four-year college for the first time and intending to pursue a college degree related to the field of automation.
  • Students who are currently enrolled in a field of study/major related to the field of automation at an accredited two-or four-year college and do not hold any previous degrees.

This is a one-time $1,000 scholarship that is funded by the ISA Eastern New York Section. Scholarship funds are intended to help offset costs of tuition, textbooks, and other college-related expenses. The merit-based scholarship is awarded based on:

  • Community/extracurricular involvement
  • High School grade point average (GPA) or current college GP
  • Short essays of 500 words or less addressing the applicant’s plans for their higher education and subsequent career.

The application deadline is May 1st of each calendar year. Application submissions must include all required information to be considered valid. The awardee will be invited to attend the ISA Eastern New York Section Scholarship Ceremony to receive their award.
